PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS RELATED TO SEX

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS RELATED TO SEX

Human sexual behaviour can be psychologically divided into two main categories

1. Restorative sexual behaviour

2. Aberrant sexual behaviour

Normal sexual behaviour is the normal sexual process between a woman and a man. Both of them get sexual satisfaction or charm from this process. Self-indulgence can also be considered a variant of this. Nature has provided a special satisfaction here for the continuation of the human species that is absent from residual human activity. Otherwise, the existence of homosapiens would be challenged if sexual intercourse was a human act that did not get special satisfaction such as blinking and swallowing saliva.

Humans turn to sexual activities mainly due to hormonal activity. Some people have an excess of these hormones and some have them distorted. Different types of sexual gratification often practised in such cases are called deviant sexual behaviours. Many such perverted sexual behaviours are analyzed in psychology and some of the main ones are listed below.

  1. Mortuary sexuality
  2. Pursuit of sensuality
  3. Pathetic sensuality
  4. Core sexuality
  5. Animal sexuality
  6. Display sexuality
  7. Paradoxical sexuality
  8. Self-indulgence
  9. Visual sensuality

1. Mortuary sexuality (Necrophilia)

In such a situation, a person gets sexual satisfaction from intercourse with a dead body. Sometimes a corpse or a woman is killed and tempted to have intercourse with the corpse. In hospital morgues (as in the movie Breath) as well as in cemeteries, mausoleums, and battlefields, there can be similar situations.

2. Pursuit of sensuality (Fetishism)

In this condition, a person gets sexual satisfaction with human body parts or inanimate objects. In this case, inanimate objects can often be underwear, handkerchiefs, clothes, toothbrushes, hair, hair or a sex toy used by the opposite sex.

3. Pathetic sensuality (Transvestic Fetishism)

This situation is quite similar to Fetishism seen above. The difference is that they also have a strong interest in the clothes of the opposite sex and are tempted to wear them. People in this situation get sexual satisfaction by wearing the clothes of the opposite sex in public places (yachting, music shows, and big matches) as well as secretly wearing those clothes.

4. Core sexuality (Paedophilia)

A person in this condition gets sexual satisfaction by engaging in sexual activities with minor girls who have not reached the age of puberty or by imagining them and engaging in masturbation. Due to the aggravation of this condition, the person may even be tempted to commit child abuse and may even become a serious anti-social crime.

5. Animal sexuality (Zoophile)

People in this condition get sexual satisfaction from having sex with animals. Otherwise, by watching animal sexual acts, Animals like dogs, cats, horses, reptiles or their organs are used for this. There have been reports from all over the world of some fishermen who have been at sea for weeks and months at a time having sex with the fish caught in their nets.

6. Display sexuality (Exhibitionism)

People in this condition get sexual satisfaction by showing their genitals to unprepared guests. But the speciality here is that these people do not need to have sex with their respective guests. They get satisfaction from the exhibition alone.

In the past, such people used to hang out near bathing piers, wells, near women’s bedrooms, as well as near public places such as schools and garments. But with the communication revolution, today, those who make obscene phone calls, and those who send obscene pictures through social networking sites (FB, Whatsapp, Viber, Imo) are also included in this showy category.

7. Paradoxical sexuality (Sexual Sadism)

People in this condition get sexual satisfaction by humiliating, hitting, injuring, and tying others during sexual intercourse. This situation can eventually lead to lust murder. Professors around the world have revealed many such situations in research books on the subject of “Prostitutes”

8. Self-indulgence (Sexual Masochism)

People in this condition get sexual satisfaction by experiencing physical and mental pain and achieving sexual pleasure. They can get sexual satisfaction from being beaten, trampled, recruited with chain ropes, beaten or dressed as a child.

9. Visual Sensuality (Voyeurism)

People with this condition find sexual satisfaction only by watching others have sex. It is not necessary for them to engage in sexual activities. You can see the characteristics of hiding and watching, installing secret cameras, addiction to watching blue movies etc. in them.

These problems can occur regardless of gender. Some of such problems are:

  • Not feeling any sexual satisfaction
  • Fear of sexual behaviour.
  • Spontaneous sexuality
  • Paradoxical sexuality
  • Showing off one’s body to others gives satisfaction

Enjoying eavesdropping on the sexual activities of others (how this can be a problem will be explained later) Being inspired by things such as kissing, cuddling, etc. of the opposite sex. Desire and gratification for non-sexually stimulating parts of the head or other objects

Getting inspired by watching your husband or wife having sex with someone else in front of you

Unnatural sexual desires

Being inspired by hearing or saying obscene things on the phone

A strong desire to be sexually aroused by impure persons

A strong desire to be sexually aroused by older people

A strong desire to have sex with very young children

Getting inspired by having sex with dead bodies

Getting sexual inspiration by seeing it while defecating

Seeing while urinating and getting sexual inspiration

Sexual inspiration with beasts

Getting sexually inspired by watching animals have sex

Sexual stimulation through devices

Getting sexual inspiration by touching and eating impure things like semi-cooked saliva.

Addiction to watching pornographic videos

Addiction to self-indulgence

Thinking of having sex with close relatives like mothers, sisters, daughters, fathers, and brothers and getting sexual inspiration.

Due to complex human psychology and behaviour, some people may have more than one of the above characteristics. Moreover, several characteristics may be mixed. But the most important thing is that everything seen or not seen above is perverse sexual desire and not a mental illness. Therefore, the above conditions can be remedied through counselling or clinical processes.
